Revisiting the last trip to Hawaii to share general information on the attractions my family enjoyed to encourage you to visit this paradise!

Tasty Crust Review

So I cheat again.  The second entry of this blog apologizes for cutting back to the year 2000 to share info around the Big Isle...and now I'm falling further back to discuss Maui.  1995 was the only time I got to visit this exquisite island and I just read another blog talking about breakfast on Maui...which begged the following review:

Taste the Tasty Crust
If you are tired of tourist prices and ostentation during your visit to Maui, a breakfast break at Tasty Crust will prove a delicious reprieve. A friend who grew up on Maui insisted we visit this eatery at least once...and we ended returning each morning.

This is truly a local hang out - you will feel like you stepped onto the set of 'Happy Days'...especially if you park at the counter on one of those classic red stools that twirl! They have all the standard options and native favorites like Loco Moco (a hamburger and an egg with white rice). But the tradition is to wind up any order with their yummy banana pancakes...a treat not to be missed.

The food, prices and atmosphere combine to make this a dynamite breakfast option. Chats with friendly locals urged us to come back for lunch and/or dinner, but it is a little out of the way and with all the other activities breakfast was simply the meal which suited best. Don't miss out on this laid back, delicious choice if you get to Maui!
