Mini break with the girls to celebrate the 3 day weekend

Longest day ever

After work on Friday i got the train across to Salisbury to meet Anja and prepare for our mini break.  Despite the fact that we had to be on a train at 6 in the morning we didn't go to bed until after midnight, so not much sleep was had.

Up at stupid o'clock on Saturday morning to get the train to Exeter, followed by a train to St Erth, and finally a train to St Ives - about 5 and a half hours of travelling time all up - joy!

Along the way we found Stef and her friend Bec, and once we finally made it to St Ives we headed for our Hostel.  We got there at five past 1, and discovered that the reception was closed between 1 and 5 pm (grrrrrrrrrr!).  So we arsed around in the pub for 4 hours, went back to the hostel and found out that if we'd just rung the buzzer we would have been allowed in at five past 1 (GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!)

Much needed naps were had, then we went out for dinner.  Had to try about 6 different places before we found one that wasn't booked out.  Made our way to the one club in town and danced the night away.
