My friend owns an island on a lake in Ontario, Canada. I spent 1 week relaxing in the lake with a couple day trips to the nearest city, Kingston.

Driving to Canada

After spending the night in Charlie's town, St. Johnsbury, VT, we woke up early for a long drive to Canada. After a couple hours, we went on a ferry from Vermont to New York across Lake Champlain. It was a beautiful ferry ride with perfect weather. We drove a couple more hours to the USA / Canada border where we went through customs. Shortly after crossing the border, we stopped at McDonalds (unhealthy but oh so good). We drove for a couple more hours and finally reached Loughborough Lake in Battersea, Ontario! We loaded all our stuff onto Charlie's boat and drove the boat to his island. A long day of traveling, but we were finally in Canada!
