These spheres obviously contain the secrets of the universe. The gnome is always watching.
There wasn't too much to see in Kennebunk, but perhaps that's just because we didn't know where to find what we were looking for (which was old colonial houses, hiking trails, and lighthouses). We did stumble on a great little farm on the side of the road (Snug Harbor Farm, I think it was called). Giant lawn spheres that looked like Jupiter were what made us stop, and it's definitely a good thing we did, since the rest of the farm was great too.

After viewing the spheres and gaining the knowledge of the cosmos, we were lured around back by the crowing of roosters. Sure enough, there were not only normal roosters walking around, there were also exotic brightly colored ones that turned out to be, unfortunately, very skittish and camera shy.
Snug Harbor Farm was amazing.
We also saw a flock of white pigeon looking birds with curly feathers, and feathery feet. I thought they were hilarious and started taking pictures of them, when I was accosted by the apparent proprieter of the farm, who told me that pictures of the farm were five dollars each.

Of course, he was kidding, and he turned out to be an interesting guy. He actually asked if I was there for a job, which caught me off guard, and then we talked about tattoos. One of his workers apparently had a scene of an orgy on his back, but he never got around to showing it. He also asked us if we had come to see the vacation home of the Bush family. We had known it was up here, but he told us how to find it, which is where we were off to next. Come to think of it, it was a bizarre conversation, but interesting and friendly nonetheless. It's nice to know that some people can still hold conversations with strangers, considering the fact that most people in this country actively avoid other human contact.

There was also a fat rooster. I tend to document any times that I see a fat animal. They're just hilarious. There will be more fat animals to come on this trip!
