He's got a nice pad, and some pretty neat toys - including a Party Pontoon boat, and 21ft speedboat which i'm told packs about 750-800HP with an unknown top speed. He hasn't been able to get it going fast enough.
The saturday had some great weather, and we took a ride up the lake in the party barge. When we arrived at the lake all you could here were engines idling - nothing less than 8 cylinders. so loud. There lake was filled with massive impractical boats - only a small percentage actually had a ski pole - what the???? We headed up the lake and found a nice little cove, and set up camp for the day.
The sunday saw another ride up the river in the Speedboat this time. Seats were limited on the boat so I caught up with my cousin Tammie who I hadn't seen in years, at some bar on the lake. After a catch up it was our turn to go for a ride....
I've been in boats before, but nothing quite as quick as this thing. I think we hit 85 mph, and it seemed like there were definately a few nags still to be let off the blocks but conditions didn't really let them free...
We had a bit of a water ski - and a special shout out goes to mum - she got up first go on the single ski! Respect! I had a bit of a go - it was good to be on the water and after only a week it felt like a long time!!! Both cousins had a crack & all enjoyed it.
The evening again began with some Margarita's and prior to me falling asleep in front of the TV, we went out to dinner, where we all overloaded on Mexican food - seems to happen a bit around here.... rightfully so when you combine the great mexican food with the american serving size! NO-ONE goes hungry. Not even me.
The next day saw the drive back through the desert into LA. Yuk.
