So CArtageñna turned out to be ok...

after jumping off the boat, super tired from not sleeping the night before (sailing), the next day we took a walk around the city....

it´s walled to stop pirates back in the day. Part´s of it are up to 500 years old, so its filled with some really really beautiful buildings, squares and gardens. Perhaps the photo´s can explain the beauty of this city...

The people are definately different to Central America. There´s a bit more culture, you can feel it in the air. The poeple know they´ve been around a little longer, so act a little that way too - they´re not as friendly as Panama. There are plently of con artists around... but if you steer clear of them, everyone will say hi, and have chat...

while i was on the sailing trip, someone had spent a whole heap of money on my credit card.... which has kinda wrecked plans a little, coz I have to wait in CArtageña for a couple of weeks to for a new one to be sent.... anyway... guess its part of travelling!!!

anyway, tomorrow off up the coast somewhere... dont know where.... with some new friends from the sailing trip... Sam is doing his own thing for a few weeks...
