His job was to hand out the t-shirts of his department of the university and check the list that everyone get s a shirt.
Nagehan joined us and we all met at the campus in Urfa.
Finally we get back to the city center with one of the busses that brought all students to the place where the 3km walk was starting.
All of us were wearing Harran University shirts and all - including Deniz' boss was thinking I am a Turkish student as well ;-))))
After more than 1 hour waiting finally the walk started. The distance was from the city center to the campus and about 3 km.
There were so many students and also lots of people standing at the windows and on the sidewalks for watching.
We were walking along one of the huge turkish flags. All way long you could here shoutings like: Kırmızı beyaz - Turkiye!
It was really great walking with all the students and people and also funny! Deniz friend Alper joined us also and all together we were reaching the campus. Unfortunatelly Nagehan was leaving us before.
At the campus everyone got Lahmacun and Ayran for free. As the most people we were sitting down on the gras, eating, drinking and talking. Some others began to dance and it was such a nice atmosphere there!
Even we all were a bit sad cause we knew it was our last evening together in Urfa and right after sitting together Fatih had to go home.
Time to say Good-Bye
That was really such a sad moment.
After Fatih went home Deniz, Alper, my Mum and me went to the top of the castle and enjoyed the last evening over there...
That were really nice and beautiful last moments sitting there with a view to Urfa with all it's lights...
Than we brought Alper to his home and after that my Mum to our hotel.
So Deniz and I were left...
We had some more drinks and were talking and just enjoying the last moments we had together.
At about 2h30 a.m. we went back to hotel... Directly in front of the hotel we were stopped by the police. They checked our identity cards, asking what we were doing and where to go .
Didn't matter to me, it was the last night and also they offered a door open 24hours...
Anyway... I needed a copy of my keycard (my Mum had ours)...this took more 30 minutes to get a copy of my keycard for the room.
Finally they organized one and it was also time to say Goodbye to Deniz ... who had really a long night cause he had to go and get some cigarettes with the concierge and he was home at about 4a.m. - hahaha - poor Deniz!
So that was my last evening in Urfa....
Sad that I had to leave my friends... but happy that I met them, happy that I had such a great time and looking forward coming again :-)
