Istanbul, It's Not Constantinople

Many people do not know this but Bert found himself a girlfriend, Betty from California. She moved in with him at home but cabin fever soon kicks in especially with me living in the house with them.
So one day, without any warning, Bert took Betty off to Istanbul in search of some sweet afternoon Turkish delight!
This was an important milestone for my little luminescent buddy, not only was it his first solo trip with a female bulb but it was also his first ever trip out of the country without me. I wouldnt mind except that I would love the excuse to go to Turkey....
Bert loved it.
He loved every second of it.
There were things he didnt like, I mean it took Betty hours to get ready to go out at night what with washing her glass with windex and all.
He revelled in the fact that by crossing the Bosphorus river he could walk from Europe to Asia in a matter of minutes, or hours in his case, he is only little after all. This is the land where Alexander the Great cheated and slashed the untieable Gordian Knot or where Achilles battles the Trojans. Where religions collide and continents meet.
Seeing as I couldnt spare the time off work to go to Istanbul for the week, Sarah thought it would be the next best thing for both of us if she brought Bert along for the ride. It wasn't quite the same thing but it was still lovely to see the photos when she got back.
