Detour
My friend E is very obsessive about American history, any opportunity she can find to verbally bash me over being a brit she relishes with delight. This new game of Brit bashing has accelerated to a new heights now that I've driven the 500 odd kilometers from New Brunswick to Amherst, Massachusetts. I can now be remonstrated, cagolled and abused at a distance much more convenient for her. Its a bit of a detour, I know, but its worth it just for this level of social interaction. Not quite the Halifax to Vancouver trip I was expecting, but I can't have it my way all the time despite my best efforts.
Amherst is a very nice town, and E has kindly booted her younger sister out of her room so I have my own space to stay in for a few days. Thankyou to G, the younger sister, for relenting so easily, we shall save you a cupcake.
While I'm here I'm going to visit Boston and do lots of Massachussian things, details to follow.
Oh, and we had to give Daisy to her new owner as well.
