Halifax to Vancouver on a budget with no time limit...and only my trusty 'penguin of death' mug for company.

Car Hunting

yay the gold volvo, may it live on fondly in the memories of somebody else.

Its not that cars a particularly elusive, on the contrary I see them everywhere. Its just I have this problem with commitment and they always demand so much of me. This makes me really choosy when it comes to cars. No I mean REALLY choosy. You may notice there aren’t any blog posts since the 1st of June. I have been doing nothing save hunting for that one choice automobile since then. Now I am exhausted, I have trawled second hand car lots, browsed and searched ‘tinternet and shaken the cheesy hands of more cheesy grinning used car salesmen than is advisable. In fact in an attempt to limit the spread of this type of cheesiness the Ontario municipal authorities have declared a quota. I have exceeded this quota and I am currently being fined.

And so reluctantly I have turned down offers of bright green VW Camper vans, a 3.8 ltr V8 Mustang, and a sad old gold Volvo with issues. I now find myself the proud owner of a Ford Focus SE Wagon, complete with no less than two cup holders.

This means I can finally hit the road! YAAHOOO!! My first stop is going to be Peterborough, Ontario. Famous for Canoeing and a giant lift lock (more on that when I find out what it is). I got some more camping stuff today including a lantern that you can recharge from your cigarette lighter socket. Marvellous.
