Flamenco, anyone?

TGIF FOR REALS!
This week has kinda flown by, but has also been extremely exhausting! Tonight we celebrated the fact that it was finally Friday by going to see some Flamenco @ La Luna Negra. What a cool place. Great food, amazing dancers and just a cool vibe. Nice waiters too but definitely on the pricey side.
Tracy picked me up and shuttled me around because of my bum ankle and we were soon joined by the rest of the gang (Rob, Joy, Nhi, Matt) as I managed to get a front table right next to the Flamenco stage. I've never seen Flamenco before so needless to say I was enchanted by the beautiful dancing, the gorgeous postures and the get-ups of course.
The space is fairly small with maybe a dozen tables mashed together with odd chair assortments that don't match. It's a bit hard maneuvering around the tables, the waiters must stretch before they come to work with all the leveraging of their bodies they use. There was quite a bit of interesting tapa-eating going on at our table. Interesting dishes such as escargot, salmon, mussels, chicken, stuffed mushrooms. All spicy, all very nice.
And then, there was the audience participation portion. Oye. The flamenco dancers tried to invite up some guests of honor, but they weren't very into the spirit of things. And of COURSE they would drag me up since I was in the front row. Bum ankle be damned and what little rhythm I have got lost in the frenzy and fright. I recall being twirled around and hugged by the tall flamenco dancer and then allowed back to my seat.
All in all, a wonderful and memorable night =)
