Hawai`i postcards up for grabs!

Hawaii Travel Blog › entry 1 of 131 › view all entries

THANK YOU to everyone who sends me postcards and help make my collection grow! I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH! If you sent me a postcard and you don't see it in this blog, it means it's still on its way or I never received it because it got lost or someone stole it. Yeah, it happens.

Hawai`i postcards up for grabs!

My cubicle. One wall with postcards (and another wall has a world map). =)
I FINALLY RECEIVED POSTCARDS FROM EVERY CITY AND COUNTRY I VISITED IN EUROPE SO FAR!  THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME ACHIEVE THIS GOAL!! xD

OMG I NEED TO UPDATE THIS BLOG (AND OTHER BLOGS) BUT BEEN SO BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!  Bare with me! =D

RECEIVED 424 POSTCARDS FROM 63 COUNTRIES + 1 REGION (Caribbean) SO FAR.

* OTHER
WAYS TO LOOK THROUGH MY POSTCARDS EASILY:

THE SETUP:

  1. HAWAI`I POSTCARDS available (or were available) for exchanges.  Check out the kinds of postcards I have (maps, city views, etc.).  If you want any of the "not available" cards, let me know and I will see if I can get it.  If I can get it, then I will put you on the "waiting" list. ;)
  2. Other postcards from other U.S. States and countries available for exchanges. *** UNDER CONSTRUCTION ***
  3. MY FAVORITE POSTCARDS I received so far.
  4. MY MAP POSTCARDS I received so far.
  5. Then, you will see postcards from my travels.
  6. After that, I organized postcards I received so far by country. =)
  7. However, I organized all U.S.A. postcards in the end and organized them by state.

================================

This is my new and addicting hobby.  I love collecting postcards as you can see all of the postcards I have so far from around the world. =D  Since I am not traveling anytime soon, the closest thing to traveling for me is walking to my mail box and finding new postcards I receive from different parts of the world. =)

I'm always happy to receive new postcards as well as exchange postcards so please don't hesitate to contact me.  If you want a postcard from Hawaii, please let me know.  In return, I'd like a postcard from you!  YOUR postcard might influence me on which places I may visit on my future travels!  Send me a message if you want to exchange postcards!

I sometimes buy postcards whenever I travel, but it's not as fun as receiving and sending postcards through old-fashion snail mail. =)  Though, I wish I did buy postcards on my second trip to Europe, but I didn't. @_@

If you're swapping postcards with me, you can choose any postcard I have available.  If you'd rather be surprise, just let me know your preferences. =)

I have 2 postcard goals.  Read about them at the end of this blog. =)

Postcrossing is a postcard exchange website.  (WARNING:  It can be very addicting.)  I have two accounts on that site:
================================

MY PREFERENCES
  • No envelopes.
  • I'll accept postcards in envelopes only if I'm exchanging more than one postcard.  It helps save stamps! =D
  • You can write about anything:  yourself, what's on the postcard, something about your country, why you chose the postcard for me, (if you're traveling) you can tell me about your trip, etc.
  • Send me postcards that will give me a reason to visit your town, city, and/or country...anything unique and interesting to your town, city, or country:  UNESCO World Heritage Sites, landscapes, city views, medieval places (like castles), ancient ruins, historical places, mosques, amazing architecture, etc.
  • I'M LIKING MAP POSTCARDS TOO NOW! =D
  • I'm also liking funny, weird, strange, unusual postcards too.  For examples, you can see pics of such postcards under Hawaii, U.S.A. and Portugal in this blog.
  • Postcards I don't like:  ad, illustration, and flowers.  (Though, there are exceptions for illustration postcards sometimes because I liked a few that I received. =))
