Durham Cathedral is a great place to visit especially in the summers. The setting of the place, the river next to it and the fall season - all contributed to its charm. Make a point to walk around it. The town itself is quite qaint.

The durham castle.

The durham castle is not all that big. If you've been around england then this castle isnt very impressive. However, the environment in which it is set is what makes it unique. Its well kept and extremely picturesque.

A good idea for a day outing.
