The housing of PT INCO employees

Today in the afternoon, Yamin and I could go home early. We were very tired but we didn't want to go to the dorm straightaway. So, we asked Bapak Djelly to show us the the town. From the sightseeing, I could say that the town was very small. I could see that there were 2 different areas, the old and the new. The old area was the same with other small towns in Indonesia, simple and hm... messy. The new one was clean, tidy, and modern. Why? It was because the new area was developed by PT INCO for its employees. The houses and the environment; Yamin said "it is not Indonesia". The material of the houses and the home appliances were imported! They had their own generator using the water energy from the lake.

It needs 1500 watt only to heat one electric stove! While the same amout of energy can be used for the whole medium size house  in Jakarta or other regions. If the water surface level of the lake gets low, an aeroplane will "shoot" the cloud to make rain. It costs hundreds million rupiahs for each "shoot".

Bapak Djelly also took us to Bapak Maryanto's house. So, I could see the interior and the stove!!!
