Welcome to the Alcove
Wow.....4 hours of sleep went quick! LOL. It was time to get up and get ready so I could get on the road before 7am to get up to downtown Los Angeles to fetch Will and over to Los Feliz to the Alcove for breakfast. As usual, traffic on the 110 fwy sucked and I got to Will's hotel a couple minutes after 8am. I had asked Jillian where we were going the night before but she said not to worry about as Will has GPS. Ok dokey! Will and I get on the way and I can barely talk as I think I'm getting sick from lack of sleep all weekend (including a couple days before we even left town). We head up to where I think Los Feliz is and well, yeah.....Will's little lady is telling us we are supposed to go 19 miles the other direction.
Awww, Tracy and Jillian
Now I KNOW that's wrong!!! LOL. I call Jillian and she's like "I dunno the address" we are driving there now - gee, thanks for NOTHING! HA HA HA. We finally get going in the right direction towards the 5fwy and we missed the turn off and his little lady had us going all over the place! We got off the freeway to turn around and I was in the right of two left turn lanes. As we were turning, the *female doggy* in her little Land Rover decides that lane markers mean nothing to her and proceeds to turn right into my lane, almost hitting us. I laid on my horn and she slams on her brakes, trying to get us to rear end her. WTF?!?!? We change into the left lane, where her lame a$$ should've been in the first place.

Now, if you know Will and you know me, you pretty much know where this is going. I decided to behave somewhat but she was now but she was back there screaming at me. Me?!? You are yelling at me?!?!?! Do you know know the rules of the road (I am having Sybil flashbacks to our 'dont ride your bike on the sidewalk' episode on Saturday) and I just want her to pull up further. Poor Will, is just sitting there, not sure his facial expression or anything has changed at this point and I'm ready to kick her behind!!! LOL. As the light changes and we get ready to make our left, she comes by and all I did was give her the nice birdy. I'm all fired up and all Will says is, "Uh, a little road rage this morning?" HA HA HA HA.

So after that excitement, we get on our way and get to the Alcove where Julz, Jillian, and Tracy are waiting for us. They have outside patio seating which was perfect with the great weather we were having!!! I proceeded to do what I do best and set my laptop up so I could get the rest of my workday out of the way before we headed out as I didn't figure I'd feel much like working that night. We had opted (at Melanie's urging) to take the scenic route. Now, I originally figured that meant the 101 fwy. So, a couple hours longer, no big deal. I knew we were getting a bit of a late start because of work and having breakfast with Will but it was ok because I needed to get some things taken care of anyways.
We eat breakfast which was one of the yummiest breakfasts I've had in a long time.
Me...getting ready to set up shop and work! LOL
I had their country breakfast which was eggs, bacon, and two pancakes with strawberries and bananas. DELICIOUS!!!! Well, it was time for Tracy to take Will to the airport and get to work herself. We say our goodbyes and I finish a couple last minute things at work so we can get on the road ourselves. We were going to try and meet up with Giovanni on our way out but he texted me at like 8am and said he just got home from the night before so he couldn't meet until way later. We couldn't hang around so I opted to let him sleep and I will just see him when he returns from his long European adventures!!!
One last check of TB, an email to OSB to share with him our NPP road trip scenic detour and *poof* battery laptop dies! Time to head out....let the second part of the road trip begin!!! Whoo Hoo!!!
