The next day we arrived at the river around 3:30pm which was perfect since we were meant to have a 4pm river cruise. Well the rain started at 3:59, but only lasted 15 minutes so we were still able to go. We saw the lovely Probiscus monkey, crocodiles, owls, Rhino Horbills, long tail Macaques, and loads of other stuff whose name I can't remember. Sadly we didn't see any Pygmie Elephants, but we did see tons of tracks. Which is about as exciting as almost winning the lottery. I don't know if our guides were idiots or what, but the final hour of our return trip on the river was without light. Needless to say we didn't see much. Upon returning to our camp, we found that the lights were burned out. Not a big deal we thought. I mean, these guys are located out in the jungle and they constantly are battling bad weather, they'll be prepared. Well they weren't. But someone did get candles and that's how we spent the evening. Eating dinner and drinking beer by candlelight.
The next morning we awoke at 5:30am and had some tea before setting off at 6am. Our morning trip was fun and once again we saw copoius amounts of animals. We saw some gibbons, birds, and a 9 foot crocodile. We then returned to our "Jungle Resort" in Sepilok and had a quick lunch before re-visiting the rehabilitation center.
