Aloha!
May 17, 2008
After a long day of travel and getting settled in I am so happy to be back in Hawaii. I just finished my saimin, poke and tuna shashmi fix and finished it off with some mango ice cream. All is right again in the world :o)
All last week I heard about the "vog" that is currently over the state but didn't expect it to be so dense. Typically it is painfully clear and you can see far in the distance but visibility is maybe one half mile. The smell of sulfur is more prominent in some areas than others. I'm hoping the tradewinds pick up because it will be a bummer to have it so hazy all week. Reminds me of a really bad day in LA....a grayish/orange hue.
I will probably be up at the crack of dawn with the time change so I am hoping to hit the trails early. Exhausted tonight and the Diet Coke/Raspberry Stoli is kicking in;o)
