It was a very typical day apart from the fact that I was very tired. The late nights were really starting to catch up with me.
It was the school holidays soon so I wouldn't have to get up so early or work as many hours.
I went home en route past the internet café. I had 18 emails, of which 4 were from 'real' people. I'd not really had any contact with anyone apart from my family since I arrived and I was beginning to feel like people didn't really care about me. I left the internet café in a bad mood and upon arriving home, it showed.
Eppie and Lucy asked what was wrong and I explained that I had a long hard day and that the children had been really tough going.
The clouds had started to darken by this point and it looked like it was about to pour with rain.
We had run out of water for washing again so I couldn't have a wash, clean my hair or do anything to make myself feel better.
I made myself a cup of tea and some dinner and Nick, Eppie, Lucy and I just sat in our room playing a game: You write words from certain categories using an assigned letter. It was good fun and after about 8 rounds, it turned out that I was the winner with 61 points. This cheered me up a little!
Soon, Reinot arrived to pick up his things as he was travelling back to Holland after having spent 6 months in Kenya. We said our goodbyes and soon, after having another cup of tea and some toast, we went to bed, with the sound of thunder grumbling in the distance and the rain tapping against the window.
