1st day in Paradise
September 14, 2004
Kakadu is a World Heritage listed National Park located in Arhnem Land about 250km east of Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. Kakadu National Park is spectacular and large with a huge variety of scenery, wildlife, plant life and Aboriginal Art sites to see and experience.
We traveled into Kakadu via the unsealed Old Darwin Road and after travelling for a while we took a break at White Lily Billabong for a chance to admire congregations of birds amongst water lily covered floodplains. Lovely place - lots of birds flying around. Our day ended with a refreshing swim at Barramundi Gorge where I prefered to spend some time exploring .... found some Aboriginal Art sites.
