Reflecting on a great time...
Well, I knew this day would come--the journey had to end a some point.  I'll leave you with my last thoughts regarding my summer:

- Don't sleep on your own backyard: there is so much to do in America that you don't have to travel internationally to really see a lot.
- In this day and age, there is no excuse for you if you're boring.  The world's at your fingertips if you choose to touch it...
- Pack light: you only need about 5 t-shirts, one good pair of jeans, a good pair of walking shoes, and ample underwear and socks.
- Knowing the language where you're going helps a lot...
- Dollars are weak, but not so much so to keep you from having a good time...
- Try not to travel halfway around the world and eat Subway and McDonalds everyday...
- Traveling alone with a big backpack is an excellent workout.

- We don't walk enough in America...
- Try not to take the internet for granted...
- The more people you meet in this world, the smaller it gets...
- Eating street food is a sport
- When eating street food, buy something to drink first as you may urgently and unexpectedly need it
- Bouncers are annoying, but they are so necessary
- Smiles and nods go pretty far when you don't speak the language...
- If someone is convinced you're from Ethiopia, there's no changing their mind
- Stay in a social hostel, even if you have to pay a little more...
- Hostels aren't like the movie 'Hostel'
- Not having a plan when you travel is kinda scary, but it's worth it...a rough outline is probably best...
