Bon Voyage

Every vacation must come to an end. We were off to the airport at 10:30am and got there very quickly. Enid saw us off. Check in went quick. I set off the security alarm with either my sun glasses or my necklace, took them off and was cleared. lol Then we turned the wrong way after the security check, but caught up on that when there was nowhere else to go. We had plenty of time to get to our gate. Then we were told that TED had overbooked the flight by 5 people. I would have gone for an extra day, free hotel and 2 free domestic round trip tickets, but hubby didn't go for it. Couldn't blame him after all that he had endured during this vacation. ;)
We got to board almost 30 minutes late. Everyone was seated but the plane wasn't moving. The pilot informed us that something on the plane wasn't working which was also kept the air conditioning from cooling the place down. After another 45 minutes of sweating we finally started taxiing and got in the air. Once in the air the AC started kicking in. Thank god. By this time it was probably well over 80 degrees on board. The pilot apologized for the troubles which caused the guy in the seat next to us to applaud loudly. I guess he was upset. lol
He made it to D.C. without any more complications. I watched the movie "Jumper" which was entertaining enough to make the four hour flight go by quickly. Our car was still in the long term parking and there was no traffic on the beltway. :)
