Off we go
May 17, 2008
So this morning we got up at 5am to have enough time to get to the airport and park our car in the long term parking at the airport keeping the bad traffic around the beltway in mind. Everything was packed and ready to go the night before. The alarm went off too! Off to a great start? NO!
After I ruined my coffee with bad milk I thought this day would get bad. I usually make up worst case senarios in my head before going on vacation. lol
Well, hubby and I got to Dulles Airport with time to spare and we even received seats with LEG ROOM in the emergency exit isle. Yeahie! The flight was with a bit over 3 hours not bad at all. 84F in San Juan!! Yes, I'm back in paradise. I've been talking about this place to my husband for over 4 years now. He wanted to go to Mexico, let's hope he enjoys it here, since I got my will and he didn't.
Bad wife you say?? No! That's what happens when you talk about getting a passport for about 2 years but you don't do it. Yeah, ha HA. Worked out to my advantage! weeeeeeeeeeeee Next time Mexico, passport is in the mail. ;)
So yes, we got here ok! My friend Enid picked us up at the airport in San Juan and took us straight to the restaurant "El Alambique" on Isla Verde for lunch. We had a few drinks and enjoyed the beautiful ocean view from the padio outside.
After lunch Enid took us on a scenic drive along the coast and through Old San Juan. Hubby slept through most of it but what are pictures for right? We then drove to Enid's house and unloaded our suitcases into the apartment.
We relaxed a little bit and got a nice nap too.
