Salta and Steak

After three and a half months in Central America the Odyssey continues! The basic plan is to travel south through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia Argentina and Chile...then re-enter reality in California for 2 weeks before we have to go back home.

Salta and Steak

When a steak is over three inches thick, is it still considered a steak? Or half a cow.  We had heard the rumours about Argentinian steaks...and honestly, they are all true. Vegetarians beware, you will be converted if you come to this country.

We are undergoing a bit of culture shock at the moment after spending so long in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. And feeling a tad underdressed in our ragged clothes that should have seen their last days many days ago. This is one cosmopolitan country.

Now back to the steak. Seriously, they are big,  juicy and pretty damn fabulous steaks. They cover an entire plate and cost less than a piece of chicken and chips. Ahhhh, to not have to eat chicken for a while. Thankyou Argentina.
