We had a quick stay in Zurich where we met this guy Enrike from Brasil and the four of us toured the city for the day! Zurich was beautiful with cobblestone streets, cool shops, a nice river that we walked down, lots of art museums and culture. The Germany-Turkey game was playing that night so we decided to get a little (or big) pre-drink going on. We drank wine and coolers in this park and then headed to the Fan Zone by the river where approx. 2-3000 fans were watching the game! It was CRAZY and such a cool experience. They really get into their football! Germany won which we were happy about, because they were going to the finalsssssssss!
The next day we headed to the Swiss Alps! We had to take 2 trains, a bus and a gondola up to our Mountain Hostel in Gimmelwald (1300m in the moutains)! The scenery was breathtaking and definitely one of our favourite places to stay (they even had a hot tub that overlooked the mountains!) We ended up doing a 9 hour hike the one day up to the top of Shark´s Fin (Tanzboden) and Oberstienberg! It was absolutely exhausting but well worth the trek! Check out the wicked photos soon!
On to Torino!
