Upon arrival to the Pink Palace, we downed some shots (curtosy of the hostel) of pink Ouzo... a black licorice alcohol famous to Greece. Might I add, this was at 8am! What a way to start the day! Martin and Stef went on a kyaking adventure for the afternoon where they went cliff jumping, visited a monastry on an island, ate cactus right off the plant and went snorkeling! It was absolutely beautiful and so much fun! Lola and Jenn were exhausted from there freezing cold ferry ride to Corfu so they relaxed by the beach all day! That night there was a Flip Cup Tourny (which of course as Canadians we had to join!) We had a team of 8 (6 Canadians, 1 Italian, and 1 Mexican) and we dominated.

.. didn't win but probably should have... there was a bit of a discrepency between us and one other team and we got the shit end of that stick since there were no officials. Ah well, c'est la vie!). But so the saying goes: Win or Lose, HIT THE BOOZE! And we did just that, dancing the night away and ending with a dip in the Sea which was very refreshing and beautiful.

The next morning we were all a little rough around the edges to say the least, but the flip cup tournament night was a good warm-up for the Toga party the following evening.

During the afternoon before the toga party, Stef and Martin took Jenn and Laura out to the same cliff that they had jumped off the day before during their Kayak adventure. Laura was really funny at the top of the rock, literally clinging to it until right before she had to jump.

She claims that she didn't care about the jump, but the height freaked her out. It was really fun to literally rock climb up the side of the rock, strategically placing each foot and hand in order to make it up safely. We did as many jumps as our body would allow us to and then Martin and Laura did some snorkeling while Jenn and Stef sun bathed. The kayak trip back was pretty rough with HUGE 2 metre waves and honestly a little scarry at times, but eveyrone made it back in one piece.

After dinner, we dressed in our togas, which took a little more time than we had anticipated. Martin's toga was the best, and the most original thing we had all seen that night. It consisted of two gatherings of the material, one under his neck, and one on his waist, nice big slit on the side too - haha just beuty.

Then the Ouzo circle began with traditional greek dancing with flaming circles of ouzo on the ground and free shots for all! Laura was involved in a little act where she stood on the chest's of the two dancers who were somehow parallel to the ground... they fed her a pink ouzo shot and sent her off into the crowd again! The night progressed with many ouzo shots, tequilla, and blue lagoons and tons and tons of dancing! What a night... everyone felt just as great the next morning too haha. So we just sat around the pool the whole day until it was time to catch our bus and run like hell to the ferries!! (close call, but we made it with seconds to spare... literally... pfewf).

Back to Italia, to get ready for Stef Braid and lay off the ouzo.
