Once we were finished travelling north, we were so excited to travel south where the warmer weather resides. We had a complete blast in Berlin. We were amazed to find out the history surrounding the area. We got there late Thursday night, after getting lost once again for an hour, and once we settled in our hostel we went out for a nice Italian dinner which was recommended by a fellow backpacker!! As you will see, the dinner was absolutely delicious and much needed after a full day of travelling from Copenhagen.

On Friday, we decided to take a tour with the Fat tire bike tours, which was recommended to us by Courtney!! THANKS COURT!! The tour was absolutely wonderful! Our tour guide, Charlie, was very knowledgeable and fun!! It was a 4 hour tour around the city on bikes with about 20 other people which we mostly made friends with partaked with us.

We got to see many of the major attractions, such as Check point charlie, the area above Hitler´s bunker, many of the restored, historically significant buildings. Some of them have not yet been restored due to lack of money and the walls are paper to show what the building would look like. After the bike tour, we partook in the Pub crawl which consisted of 4 bars and a club. We met so many cool people, varying from Australia, to Chille, to United States, to London England.... but no Canadians unfortunately.

The next day, we toured to some of the attractions we wanted to see more of and did some shopping. We came across this really cool breakdancing show in the streets where about 6 guys had an organized business and they were amazing!! We toured to the longest location of the Berlin wall that still exists, and had ourselves our first authentic german meal, schnitzel... it was DELICIOUS! In the nightime, the bartender at the hostel, Mickel from Spain took us to his favourite bar and a place with the best falafals! MMMM!! It was a nice night, more relaxing but it wasn´t an early one!
