Lubeck
Pretty Lubeck, which looks like it's from medieval times with it's cobbled streets and spired buildings, is enchanting in sunny or rainy weather. The town is always quiet, but if you wander around enough, you can find some pumping bars and clubs. Walking around will get you everywhere, and the canals are beautiful for an afternoon stroll.
The weekend was an opportune time to go as they had a little market set up which had tasty tidbits on sale. The speciality of Lubeck is marzipan, and there is a store near the square that sells the most amazing array of these treats - unfortunately marzipan is not my thing, so it was like wandering through a little shop of horrors.
However, the rest of the town more than made up for it, it's more of a wandering around place than there being specific sights you have to see. Easily done in an afternoon as well, so if you're based in Hamburg it makes for a nice change from the city.
