Animal Planet Time!!!

The venue for the outing was the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park in Kawit, Cavite, which is an hour away from Manila on a normal traffic condition. All employees of the company were given free access to all the recreational areas of the resort. Food and drinks were free as well, so it wasn't a bad way to spend a Sunday on.

It was a very hot day and the big, big pool was definitely very inviting. However, I didn't swim at all, since I wasn't in the mood to get wet and take in pee, saliva, and God-knows-what other body fluids in the process. I'm fine with my own fluids, thank you very much =D So what to do? Well, we took a tour of the whole place via tram (and a horse-drawn carriage later on), went to the animal farm to catch up with some relatives =D, and went bowling!!! I must admit, bowling was tremendous fun, and the air-con provided a much-needed cooling down. Too bad we missed pain-balling.

Around the pool area were tons of gazebos, each equipped with a karaoke machine! You can't be a true Pinoy without loving it! So aside from watching the game a la The Amazing Race/Survivor, we busied ourselves eating and singing our hearts out! Well, I didn't sing cuz the songs i CAN actually sing weren't in the menu (damn) but I contented myself with singing along with the others. Aside from the pool area, there are basketball/volleyball/tennis courts, bowling alley, billiards room, etc, so you won't run out of things to do.

Before we left at 5PM, we took a one last look at the animal farm, this time going to the crocodile breeding area. Anyway, below are the pics of the animals that were sighted all over the park. With all honesty and humility, I must say that I was the best-looking specimen of the bunch, next to the Bengal tigers, of course. The rest were just... ... BLAH.
