Carnaval in Mindo - Ecuador
Sunday was just a recovering from the previous day where we had a "party" in my place with friends from school and other people from Canada and Ecuador.
Colin and I were bored as nobody is here in Quito for "las fiestas" so we watched a couple of movies and then went to the market and he did some shopping.
The next day (monday) , our friend Santiago picked us up at 6.00 am and took us to Mindo. Mindo is a wonderful place about an our and a half from Quito ( driving with Santiago Fittipaldi ) known for birdwatching... yeah, birdwatching. Sooo, I know that birdwathing was my ideal thing to do in my day off but as soon as we got there there was a cool vibe for doing sports in the water and in the air.
We 've got a gool deal to do Canoping and I had to say that it was awesome to see the beautiful view from top of the threes and enjoy the eco-tourism that they've been developing a few years ago.
Then , as the Carnaval means "everyone gets wet" , we decided to join the famous "tubbing ride" in a 6 attached truck tires in the river that pass through the town ... it was a lot of fun !But then we had to head back to Quito as Colino had to return to Guayaquil , but it as a great place to spend the last day of Carnaval.
Now I'm looking forward for my next move, I'm really excited about what's coming the next months... a plan B could take action and probably being with someone I really appreciate... asu mare!
Today is still holiday and I decided to spend the day here catching up with e=mails and clean the house. Tonight there's a good soccer game just a few blocks from here in Atahualpa Stadium, a Mexican Team ( America ... blah ) and el Nacional of Quito are playing for the Copa Libertadores...
until next mis panas.
