Old lady "," Pearl of the Adriatic "," Queen of Tourism "- these are but a few of the names given to this city, which celebrates its 160th anniversary of tourism tradition in 2004.
Opatija is situated below the mountain and Nature Park Učka, it `s the tourist resort of the Kvarber Bay, located 20 minutes from Rijeka.
There are many cafes, restaurants, shops, hotels etc
The beautiful nature, parks, old Austrian villas, seaside promenade and beaches attract tourists from Europe and all over the world to Opatija.
Opatija is the leading tourist destination in Croatia.
When I was there I made trips to several places near Opatija: Ika, Lovran, Reijka, that was a very stinky city, Cjenik and more.
It `s nice to walk there, there are a lot of things which are really beautiful to see.
It has countless small beaches and coves
On a small peninsula beside there `s a park built. For the park stands a statue of a woman with GULL on the rocks.
This is the symbol of Opatija.
Opatija is a multi-faceted destination, located in a beautiful environment that offers many opportunities for sun, sea and beach life with sights
