A weekend in Leuven is really enjoying.

The city of Leuven, capital of the province of Flemish-Brabant, is perhaps best known throughout the world for it's magnificent architecture, it's internationally renowned University and it's world famous beer.

When brewing became a nationwide industry in the 19th century, Leuven became world famous for its beers, and today is still proud to be known as the beer capital of Belgium

Leuven was created in the eleventh century and is especially known for its gothic town hall.

It has still more important sights also, it is a very pleasant city.

Although Leuven suffered heavily under the two World Wars it is now a very modern city with a very rich past

Leuven is an university town and a attractive, modern and lively city. It has numerous cultural activities, festivities, bars, cafés and restaurants.

Every year this city attracts more than 1.5 million visitors.

The University of Leuven was founded almost six hundred years ago.
The shopping area of Leuven is formed by 6 Head streets, mostly traffic free.
The shop streets are connected to the historic squares.
I stay at the very good Begijnhof Congres hotel in the heart of the city and I`ve enjoyed my weekend in Leuven!
