Renaissance London Gatwick Hotel
Lovely hotel, especially if you're only staying the night to catch a flight from Gatwick, then this is the place.

A short hop from the airport - about a mile, £2.50 for the bus which also stops at at least 2 other hotels or if you're in a big hurry, £5 for a taxi.

TIP: Don't go hungry, unless you don't mind paying £15 for a hamburger, £16 with cheese, and nevermind the beer. We're always surprised at what we'll pay when there doesn't seem to be anything else within walking distance, and we're really tired, and hungry.

And if you want internet, £15 for 24 hours, which of course no one really spends there if you're only there waiting for a connecting flight. However, free Toblerone on the front desk and lots and lots of moisturizer, soap, shampoo, shower caps and other lady-things in your room :) And a hairdryer if you're so inclined. And an oscillating fan, besides the usual climate control thingie. And the usual pens and stationery and "what-not", as LovelyLori would say ;)

So I'd say go for it, as long as your belly is full!

£ 15 for a burger? That is expensive indeed. You can alway take all the 'lady-junk' and the coffee-tea supplies as a means of compensation :)
