here comes the sun...

went up towards the curonian spit in lithuania today. in a place called klaipeda. staying in a hotel rather than a hostel, and i have to admit when i first got here, it did look a bit of a dump. but as soon as you get inside, good god the room was amazing! it was a girl and her mum running the place, and they were so helpful. her mum didnt speak much english, but the girl (viktorija!) had gone to uni or something in america so spoke veryg ood english, with an americal accent! haha.
the old town was nice too. took a minibus to get there, had to flag it down at the side of the road, pay and then stop it wherever you needed. a great idea if you ask me, but somehow i dont think english people could make it work as well as lithuanian people! haha.
tried something called zeppelins tonight too. traditional lithuanian food. basically kind of a dumpling type thing with meat inside. sound a bit odd, but once you get over the wierd texture, they are actually quite nice! haha.
so far so good, off to nida 2moro on a boat. thought it would be a bit different to going down the spit in yet another bus! haha
