Mandy does not like dirt roads!

Well this morning we had decided to go back to Victor Harbour as Mandy liked it so much and it was so late when we got there on Wednesday.
Today we had Andrew to drive us. Andrew goes all sorts of routes, you just never know where you could end up! So we set off to the Adelaide hills and went to Woodside first, to Melba's Chocolate Factory. Mandy thought it was great and bought herself a small amount of chocolate to eat. Next door is a cheese tasting room so we did that too.
We then drove to Lobethal to see if the brewery was brewing but it wasn't so we kept going. We then drove through Hahndorf but didn't stop as although it is nice, if you don't want to eat or shop, there is no reason to be there.
Next stop was Goolwa. Again, the brewery was not operating so we just had a drink at a little cafe before continuing. It is sad to see hardly any water in their. Some boats are still stuck in the sand. A little bit further around is the Coorong National Park area which is still very pretty.
The next place is Horseshoe Bay/Port Elliot where we went up to a lookout. In winter there are usually whales in the area and lots of tourists. From there we drove to "The Bluff" so that Mandy could see it in the daylight. Then back into Victor Harbour for a late lunch.
Andrew decided to take a different route home after stopping at his mothers grave at the cemetry. Andrew started off on the road that I had driven on Wednesday night. I thought it was good because now Mandy could see it in daylight. We then saw some kangaroos and shortly after some Emu's. Then Andrew turned off the road onto a dirt road which went to Myponga. Oh dear, Mandy did not like it. We saw more kangaroos and Andrew had to slow down because Mandy was scared. Mandy was so happy when we got back onto the "real road".
By this time Mandy was getting a bit tired so we just headed for home, which was still a long drive. We arrived home just before 7pm and Mandy went to lie down while I went shopping.
It was a good day!
