Ashley ready for a day out in her wind breaker

Happy Birthday to Ashley, Happy Birthday to Ashley, Happy Birthday dear Ashley, Happy Birthday to you.

SIX MONTHS TODAY!!!!!

Well a big sleep in today before getting up for our standard breakfast at home. Nicky went and got our croissants for us again. We went around the corner to the bus stop and saw the bus taling off, so had to wait for the next one. Only about 30 minutes between the buses. If you come to Paris the "Hop On Hop Off" bus tours are great. With the one ticket you can do all four routes and get on and off as many times as you want. Also a 2 day ticket is only 3 euro more than a single day ticket (28 euro for adult). Today was the worst day for weather it was extremely windy but no rain and cold but not freezing.

We sat up in the open top part and toured around for the next few hours. Doing these tours lets you see most of the Paris highlights from the bus. You also get a headset for commentary in multiple languages as you go. KL finally went down stairs with Ashley when she decided she had enough of teh gale force winds.

We got off near "Palais Garnier" the "Opera House" so that we could do the tour that we tried to do yesterday. Unfortunately the actual theatre was closed for rehearsals but the areas that were open were magnificent. When in Paris a tour of the Opera House is a must. We stopped at a department store for lunch in their cafe. Baguettes again. Ashley was asleep on the table and everyone thought that she was beautiful. Todays Ashley Adjectives were "magnifique" and "adorable".

WOW! Palais Garnier (Opera House)
We then stopped in a chemist to get some more baby panadol as Ashley's teeth are giving her a few problems at the moment. It cost us 1.88 euro for 100ml! Last 15ml we bought in Australia cost us about $15.00! Then metro home for a rest. We called into Go Sport and Nick ended up buying a soccer ball. Another interesting fact at the moment all the shops have sales on. Many of them have 50% off storewide! There go the credit cards. Anyway break at home now. KL is out doing the washing, Nick is playing with Ashley and Cam is typing this.

We decided to find a great little Italian place we ate at hen we were in Paris for our honeymoon. We finally found it and enjoyed a great pasta dinner and Cam and KL really enjoyed the Chocolate Cream Brulee for dessert. On teh walk back we decided to take a short cut and found the seedier side of this area of Paris. Nick got to see the sex shops, peep show windows and ladies of the night squabbling over territory. Couldn't get out of there quick enough. But funny to see. Late night again as when you don't head out to dinner until 8pm the time certainly gets away from you.
