Port Lockroy & Pleneau Bay
December 15, 2008
Trying to find the most appropriate words to describe the Antarctic impact is near impossible...You badly need to experience yourself..
It's not only about the icebergs, penguins, seals, orcas or whales.
It's about the Drake passage as well- the price you need to pay before entering the majestic world of Antarctica.
It's about waking up at 6 am every morning, rushing to breakfast so you can jump as soon as possible in the zodiacs and hit the waters for another meeting with an unbelievable world, the one you've seen only in National Geographic and documentaries.
It's about the people you meet on your expedition as they are all like you, blown away by the symphony of white and blue and the surrounding wild life.
And last but not least, it's about an entire crew of dedicated scientists always eager to teach you everything they know.
It certainly is once in a lifetime adventure and even though it is expensive, it worth every penny and I had the time of my life! :)
