Backpacking around Italy 2002

We never actually stayed in Pisa, we stayed in a town called Lucca and travelled to Pisa via the train. When we arrived I was so over come with excitment as this was my first time seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Walking along the street and then seeing it out in the distance was brilliant. I loved seeing it and even went on the tour to the top (one of my friends didnt go as she was afraid of heights!), which going up all those stairs, I could actually feel the lean and when we were on it!! Honest!! I was a wee bit disappointed that there were barriers around it, which after thinking about it makes sense, but I was wanting my picture taken standing right beside it, you know? Anyway, I loved Pisa and so glad I managed to see it!
