Got up, had breakfast and packed everything up. Made our way to a giant Sequoia Tree park and hiked about a mile to see them. Stopped off for lunch (leftover Pizza !) and onto San Francisco.
Arrived about 4:30pm and said goodbye to those not staying the night. Met up with Ricky, Jodie, Mel, Lizzie, Mark, Lucie and Ryan later and got taxis to Fishermans Wharf for the Sunset Cruise. The cruise was really good. Said bye to Ricky.
Monday 24th - moved to my new hotel (Baldwin Hotel) for the next 4 nights. Had a quick walk round Union Square (only two blocks from hotel) and then met up with Lizzie, Lucie, Mel, Jodie and Mark.
Tuesday 25th - Met up with Lizzie, Mel, Jodie and Mark and went to the shopping mall for breakfast. Mel did some last minute shopping before leaving for her flight. The rest of us went to the Visitors Centre and then got on a bus down to the Golden Gate Park. Walked through it down to Ocean Beach. Got a bus back (passing a theatre that said the Arctic Monkeys (British band) were playing there on Thursday) and then onto the Cable Car to Fishermans Wharf. Walked round there for a bit and then went back to Union Square. Said bye to Jodie.
Wednesday 26th - Met Lizzie and Mark at Union Square and got the bus to the Bike Hire place. Cycled 8 miles across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Had a burger for lunch and then cycled onto Tiburon (another 8 miles !). Got the ferry back to Fishermans Wharf. Had tea at the House of Nanking in Chinatown, very tasty food.
Thursday 27th - had a day to ourselves today. I got the bus down to the Wharf and bought a few things. Got Cable Car back to Powell Street and went to the Shopping Mall. Met up with Lizzie and Mark later and went to the Apple store (Free internet there as well, able to book my seats on the flight tomorrow). Walked down to the theatre, discussing what price we'd go upto with the ticket touts ! Asked at the door and they told us to line up for any spare tickets, turned out there were loads unsold we managed to get one each for only $30 (would be 50-60 pounds in Britain). The show was excellent and a good end to the holiday. Said bye to Lizzie and Mark. Mark is off to Mexico and Lizzie staying a few more days in San Francisco.
Friday 28th - Bought a new suitcase to put all my stuff in ! Packed up and left suitcases in reception. Walked around Union Square one last time and then went back to hotel. Shuttle bus then took me to the airport.
