Sea Daze!

We were at sea the next day also and met a couple from Montreal and 2 ladies from Florida. Coming back from breakfast, we were on an elevator with a couple and a woman (not with them) when the woman put her hand on her mouth and started gagging. Oh NO! Well Bernie being the nice person she is, gave her a small plastic bag that held her bookmarks. Well the woman did end up puking in the bag, on Bernie's hands and lower arms, on the elevator floor, Bernie's bookmark she had just purchased and possibly on the woman beside her! Luckily I was in the corner blocked by the man (who was beside her) so I escaped it! The elevator stopped on our floor and out we went. I felt bad for her. I'm sure she was embarrassed. I had to help my friend to our room, opening the door and rolling up her sleeves, so she could then de-contaminate herself! We  were hoping that she was either a) sea sick or b) had too much to drink (even though it was before 10am!) and NOT c) the dreaded Noro-virus.

Luckily neither of us got sick so it was probably sea sickness.

We attended a lecture called the "Magic of Photo Editing" using Adobe photoshop and was quite informative. Then time for the lunch buffet that featured sushi. I had never seen so many types and colors of sushi: yellow, pink, red, white and green with tofu or salmon in them. Once again the Horizon Court was packed , so we sat with 2 ladies who then asked us if we had eaten breakfast in the dining room. We told them yes and here they were friends with the 2 ladies from Florida we had eaten with at breakfast. What a coincidence! They told us how their friends said how nice we were! Aw!

The next lexture we attended (and wish we hadn't) was "Furs, Fins and Feathers: Amazing Animals of the West Coast" It was rather boring as the man talked about bugs, insects, spiders, and slugs for half an hour before moving to the main animals of Alaska, saying the moose was the ugliest animal and showed 2 pictures of it and made no mention of the polar bear! We were ticked as our favorite animals were slighted.

We then attended the Scrap-booking at Sea which was in the atrium and was a little disorganized as 2 women hoarded the pictures and wanted us to take the less interesting ones. What seating there was that had a table (the low tables) was taken. So we took a couple of papers, what pictures were left and some decorative edge scissors and made do until deciding to take the pictures and paper home to scrapbook.

Later was a port talk on Ketchikan which either was a very short talk or we were really late! lol I think we were late. Tea Time was next in the Bordeaux room. We sat with a woman from Florida and a couple from Queenstown as we ate peanut butter cookies, sweets and of course tea! The 1st formal night was this night which for me was black pants and a dressy top. The seafood crab/lobster quiche was delicious along with the lobster bisque, bow-tie pasta with veal sauce. Dessert was good ole chocolate ice cream. The couple from Illinois were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary so Ramon sang Elvis Presley's "Can't help falling in love with you" along with some Elvis hip moves! Woo hoo!

After dinner, we decided it would be a good time for the hot tub. There was only one other person in the 2nd one and it felt so good on our backs and feet. I was excited about tomorrow as our 1st port of call would be Ketchikan.
