Packed and ready to go!

May 10 marked the start of a cruise land tour to Alaska that began in Vancouver for 2 nights, a 7 day cruise of the inside passage with ports of call to Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway and then a land tour to Prudhoe Bay, Coldfoot, Fairbanks, Denali Park and Anchorage. Saw some great wildlife and met some equally great people.

Packed and ready to go!

At least I think I am! I wasn't sure what to pack, everyone says "Layers, layers" but layers for me is a top (one) and a jacket! I also got my waterproof jacket, gloves, hat, insulated shoes and a scarf; along with a passport, boarding pass, clothes, money, 2 cameras, 5 memory cards (each one a different size), 5 batteries and binoculars. I can't forget magazines (Of course they are travel ones) for the plane rides and layovers or my MP3 player which has 3 ALASKA songs on it. We are staying in Pittsburgh at the Mainstay since our flight leaves at 6am tomorrow! We will fly to Houston which makes a lot of sense now, doesn't it? Then from there to Vancouver to spend a couple days before embarking the cruise ship on Monday. Can you tell I'm just a little bit excited? I just hope everything goes well.
