leaving College Fjord
Couldn't believe how bright & sunny it was! Such a lovely day to sit on the balcony & meet with the glaciers that form what is known as College Fjord, even though the temperature had dropped 10 degrees! This was some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen! Saw Harvard, Yale, Wellsey, Brenan & Vaasar Glaciers from our balcony. Princeton was ignored getting named by the east coast college professors. lol  College Fjord was founded by 2 professors; one from Harvard & the other from Amherst during the Harriman Expedition in 1899 and were named after elite east coast colleges. There are many glaciers that are here with 5 being tidewater glaciers, 5 large valley ones and many smaller ones. Getting a balcony was definitely worth the price! We did miss eating and talking with our dinnermates though, regretably, because we didn't enter the fjord until the afternoon and were still there most of the evening. We had a late dinner and enjoyed our last night of the cruise.
