We started off in the magical city of Venice, next were the eternally picturesque towns of Tuscany, then on to the beautiful and stunning Amalfi Coast. Check out my super-huge Italy blog :)

Montepulciano: City on a Hill

Montepulciano is another Tuscan town that you simply must see.  There is a long winding street that goes up to the main square at the top of the hill that the city sits on.  Inside the walls there are so many things to see from the churches to the palazzi to the duomo.  There are so many wine shops that are more than happy to let you taste any wine you wish.  Many of them have baskets of grapes and will hand you a cluster as you pass by.  I've never had such delicious grapes as those in Montepulciano.  Add this city to your list of places to see in Tuscany...you'll be so glad you did!
