Yay, dream come true, I was zipping through the Paris streets on a motorbike, as a passenger of course. Dali's BF took me sight seeing at night to see the famous city of lights. Saw the Lourve, Bastille, Le Seine River, Notre Dame Church, Le Concorde. It was like a movie riding around Paris on a moped! I felt like an 'American in Paris,' correction, it should be a 'Brooklynite in Paris.' Ben is such a cool guy as my tour guide that night. We even went to eat at a kabab place and talked about french politics. I can't get over how I love middle eastern food when I travel.
Plus, we headed to the G/L area, Le Marais, to drink at Le Jacasse, a Lesbian bar. This time the bartender is a hottie!!! Funny thing, the other barmaid thought I ask her 'if she was HOT' but really I was asking for the check.
I never saw so many people smoke cigarettes like its water! I think my clothes all SMELL like smoke. Oh well, I got to drink red wine, actually everyday. We went back to where Dalinda works because her shifts end at 11 pm at the restaurant. After that, Dali is ready to party.
I did the Catacombs tour on my own Thurs. I was kinda scary bec walking the tunnels on my own + the strange echos were spooky. Now, I was tons of photos of skulls & bones. Did you know that The Amazing Race Season 4 went here. It wouldn't be too scary if I had a camera crew behind and following me. (http://itotd.com/articles/206/paris-catacombs)
Also, walked to the cemetary of Montparnasse where the famous Samuel Beckett & the founder of Citroen car were buried.
Too bad we were chased out bec they were closing soon. The neighborhood where Dali lives is the Indian area, the food here is Awesome! You can just smell the curry when you enter the building - reminds me of Queens, NYC. Her apartment is old and the kitchen faucets is busted. We always need a tool to twist it open. I guess you can call that 'building character.'
My Berlin escapade is NOT going to happen for this trip. The Eurorail said I need a special ticket to cross Belgium, return from Berlin to Parish. So, Munich is now my home base. Planning to see the Dachau concentration camp, the BMW plant bldg, + drink alot of beer. au revoir,
