Cycling through shimanami-kaidou to Imabari and Takamatsu
Shimanami-kaidou is one of the highlights of our trip. I wanted to see sea and islands. There are six islands on a way and we had to climb up six bridges, which was very hard for me because I had not got used to not only cycling but also the weigh of side bags which I setup at the B&B.
Other than the tough cycling, I really enjoyed the scinery. I liked doing cycling because if it were by car it should have been very easy to pass through and got to Imabari. I wanted to enjoy things slowly with fresh air and sunshine.
When we finished it at Imabari, we had to take a train to Takamatsu. We tried to take our bikes without breaking them into parts, but the train man told us "No!" so that we had to break. Our baggages increased twice or three times. We had to change at Ikeya(Iketani?) station which is nothing around. We walked out from the station to get some food at konbini, but could not find anything. It was almost my firest time to see such an empty station. No station man, nothing but old houses and vending machine which sells drinks which were vanished many years ago. We got on an "one man" train which we will see many times during this trip, and got to Takamatsu very late at night. It was my first night at tent with sleeping bag!
