Lost in Incheon
The first day of my trip and I got lost. So lost in fact that I missed my boat. What's really bad is that the ferry terninal is not that far from the DongIncheon subway station. The lady at the GS25 told me to take the #12 bus, but I should have taken the #23, 24, 17-1, or 3. I guess I didn't do a good job at explaining to her where I needed to go. I was lucky enough, at least, to have found a kind man who tried to calm me down and took me to the ferry where my boat was. He hailed a taxi, came with my to the dock, and paid for the taxi. When we got there he took me upstairs to the customer service office where they give me a new ticket. Oddly enough there was no charge, eventhough it was totally my fault for missing the boat. Everyone seemed to think that me missing my boat was no big deal. At first I was quite annoyed about their lack of panic, but then I remembered that I have no real appointments so it really was no big deal.
So my trip starts in Seoul. Too bad I've seen everything in Seoul already. I will leave for China next Tuesday.
