A nice relaxing day in Jakarta with some Canadians!

Today we got up right at check out time (12 pm) and started walking the streets of Jakarta again in search of a cheaper place to stay since we weren’t in any mood to pay 300,000 rupiah again for a shitty hotel. We stumbled across a vendor on the street that was selling some kind of meat in soup so we got a bowl each. I’m not gonna lie, we have no idea what we ate since the guy didn’t speak any English but the food was very good and for only $1.20 you couldn’t go wrong.
We eventually made our way back to Jaksa street and after a little searching found a hostel that had a double room available for just over $6/night(dirt cheap). We stayed at the Bloem Steen hostel and although the rooms didn’t have AC, they were clean and the sheets all smelled nice and fresh! It took us only an hour before we ran into a bunch of Canadians in the hostel. We asked around and found a good laundry place so we dropped all our laundry off to get washed. After that we did a little shopping at the mall somewhat nearby and managed to buy a t-shirt each for the night out since all of ours were in the wash and we only had wife beaters on. The rest of the night was spent with some awesome Canadians from Winnipeg and Vancouver who we shared our Bali adventures with and they told us all about Kuala Lumpur and Thailand.
That was pretty much our night, nothing too exciting, I will admit that it was nice to take it easy for a night after sooo many crazy nights in Kuta.
