Teddy's Trans-World Travels
As I said up there in the summary, I'm a dashingly handsome 3yr old Teddy Bear called Paddy (short for Patrick - but I'm actually quite tall - over 20cms!) from Scoil Cnoc na Naomh, a primary school in Doire Chonaire, Gort an Choirce, Dhún na nGall (Donegal in Ireland). I'm being sort of 'bear-napped' by this PaulKernan guy who is taking me on his travels to Spain and Colombia.
I've seen lots of the world already, been to Disney World Paris, Australia, USA, Scotland and England but this is my first journey to deepest South America (where Paddington Bear is from!!!)
We travelled from Donegal Airport (Carrickfin) via Dublin to Madrid for an overnight stay in a Boutique Hotel - Alicia off Placa Santa Ana, did some sight seeing and then made the big jump to Bogota.
Seen no bears yet, but lots of dogs, a few cats (oooooh I HATE cats) and some fancy birds (feathered!). I'll attach some more photos for you nosey people (agus mo chairde ó Tír Chonaill - and my friends in Donegal) and keep you all updated on the Travels of Teddy Patrick.Tomorrow we are flying business class (oooooh we are going UP in the world) to somewhere called Cartagena to do something called sailing... don't think we have anything to sell? But I'll let you know how me and the human get on in words and pictures. ;-) Paddy.
As you can see from the new photos we made it to Cartagena - were for the first time in my life I wished I could take off my fur coat! We boarded paulkernan's (the human) friend's yacht and the next day set sail for the Islas Del Rosarios - 40kms down the coast.
Of course I was a brilliant sailor, got the only 'bear sized' hammock (which I did have to share with the fresh fruit (Yum Yum) and showed the lads how to sail close to the wind! Speaking of wind... No sorry I forgot, I promised not to tell that story! Anyway, as you can see we had a great time, it was roasting, I'm two shades darker, and on the way back to Bogotá I got to meet mi amigo Cesar, who's 8 and lives in Bogotá.
Bye for now
Paddy
Just to let you guys know, as I've been chosen as the featured bear - or whatever - that I'm just about to start my return journey from Colombia to good old Ireland. If any 'CRAIC' happens on the way (fun!) I'll be sure to let you know.
Back in cooooooold and windy Donegal. Any offers of Bear asylum out there - will go anywhere so long as its HOT!. Back to school on Monday... Oh dear! It was nice while it lasted.
Paddy
