** let the adventure begin!! **
We arrived in to what appeared to be a war zone - everyone has guns - outside the Mcdonalds, any kiosk - everywhere rifles ! My brother arranged to meet some people he knew from his work contacts - lovely people - we stayed together with them for 4 days - Very strange place! The locals told us NOT to go out on our own which already had us worried - I felt like we were in a prison - we had already been checking the internet and it said dont go out alone but after a day or so we were doing "stir crazy" in the hotel - so we braved it and ventured out and hired a car - probably not the smartest move!" Probably confirmed when the rental company asked if we wanted extra insurance against car jacking! Oh no! The car had also seen better days and has some bumps it it - we mentioned it to teh hire company and was told it was usual! Ahhh important point - the hire car has a self locking feature thats locks the car after 1 minute of being unattened - better remember that ....! So out and about....!
