Arrival in Schiphol
The flight only took about an hour and a half - before I knew it we were landing; one of those smooth landings that you can barely feel. I was surprised by that because the plane was really small and I expected more of a jolt upon landing. This is a really easy airport to figure out - just follow the signs to whatever you need. In my case, the train station which is right there, at the airport.
Getting a train ticket to The Hague was no problem either so now I'm on the train trying to write and look out the window at the same time. It is a nice day. The countryside is, of course, flat... There are lots of fields, many with flowers, and all are surrounded by canals. It's a beautiful view. There are also many ducks, swans and other birds in and around the water. A controller came through the card and checked tickets, but aside from him, there weren't many people on the train and it was very quiet.
