on the 13th we visited notre dame cathedral during the day and watched the roller bladers around in front, sat by the river siene, and had some wine at the sacre coure basilica that night.
otherwise we didn't do much! just kinda took a day to relax, look for an internet cafe, grocery shop in the morning and nap in the afternoon...what a life. can't complain!
spent more time about paris on the 14th - the catacombs under the city (awesome), got to the pantheon as it was closing, watched a tall kids vs. small kids soccer game in the sorbonne square, and headed back to the louvre for hammurabi's code and oher various sculputures.
today brought the picasso museum and the lafayette galleries -- a really, really big mall. we're talking four buildings - one on each corner - and seven floors.
had dinner at a really good barbecue grill (i know, we're in france and having bbq-whatever!) in pigalle, which is kind of like a little mini red light district minus the windows. we also discovered a much closer metro stop to our hostel - literally around the corner near the moulin rouge. of course we found it on our second to last day here...lol
